Bringing People Together: Moments of Connection and Community
Multicultural Parade & Festival 2025
IAANEPA was proud to take part in this year’s Multicultural Parade & Festival in downtown Wilkes-Barre. The event brought together cultures from across our region with colorful parades, music, dance, food, and community spirit.
We were honored to march alongside so many groups and to share in the celebration of unity and diversity. Thanks to the City of Wilkes-Barre and to the organizers, participants, and community members who made the day such a vibrant success.
Annual Picnic 2025
August 10, 2025
The Indo American Association of NEPA’s annual picnic was held at the beautiful and scenic Kirby Park—and what an incredible day it was! We welcomed an unprecedented crowd of over 300 community members, filling the park with fun, laughter, and meaningful connections.
We were honored to be joined by Mayor George Brown, Congressman Rob Bresnahan, Judge Malloy, Tom Mosca, and Tony Brooks, whose presence and support mean so much to our community.
A special highlight of the day was presenting Mayor George Brown with a $1,000 donation for the Special Needs Park—a cause close to our hearts and one we’re proud to support. ❤️
The weather was perfect—sunny with a refreshing breeze—and the atmosphere overflowed with smiles. Guests enjoyed a mouthwatering spread of food and snacks, while the ice cream truck provided a sweet finale to the feast. 🍦
Kids delighted in fun games, proudly taking home their prizes, while adults embraced the spirit of friendly competition with a lively cricket match, a competitive tug-of-war, and other crowd-pleasing activities that kept the cheers going all afternoon.
It was truly a beautiful day for a beautiful event—one that brought our community closer together and left us all with memories to treasure.
